A PROCESS FOR RECOVERING COPPER OXIDE FROM COPPER CHLORIDE WASTE SOLUTION

Process for recovering high-purity copper oxide from a waste copper oxide solution is claimed. Thus, i)oxidizing Cu1+ ion to Cu2+ ion by pouring air or oxygen into a waste copper oxide solution, ii)adjusting to pH 7.7-11.0 by adding ammonia water or ammonia gas to give a copper complex-ion salt, iii)reacting the copper complex-ion salt with caustic soda at 60-90 deg.C to give a copper oxide particle, iv)washing, dehydrating, and drying.
