摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to uniformly charge a plurality of batteries of an electric vehicle safely, rapidly, and surely, by controlling charging current for each of the batteries, which comes from a charger for charging the batteries, based on the charging condition of each of the batteries which is calculated by a battery condition calculating means. SOLUTION: In a battery charging controlling system of an electric vehicle, a microcomputer 12 monitors the terminal voltage VB of each block battery 22(n) and calculates, for example, ΔV/Δt. When the ΔV/Δt exceeds a specified value, it is judged that the terminal voltage VB has suddenly changed and the last stage of charging of the block battery 22 (n) is detected and then current IP in a bypass device 24(n) is changed by a driving signal from a device driving circuit 26 and charging current IB in the block battery 22(n) is continuously decreased. By this method, each of the block batteries 22(n) can be charged safely, rapidly, and in proper quantities based on the charging condition of the block battery 22(n). And, all the block batteries 22 are uniformly charged.
