PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographlc photoreceptor having higher sensitivity. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor has an electrode layer and a photoreceptor layer. A self-organizing film comprising org. silane alkoxides, org. silane halides, org. disilazanes, carboxylic acids, hydroxamic acids, phosphonic acids, thiols, sulfides, etc., is formed on the side of electrode layer where the photoreceptor layer is formed. For example, a self-organizing film comprising a single molecule film of 3-mercaptopropyl siloxy groups is formed on an aluminum Mylar(R) film.
