PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method, which can measure hydrogen isotopes even in the environment, wherein intense background light such as plasma is present. SOLUTION: In the method for analyzing hydrogen compound, which is present in the form of plasma and hydrogen molecules around the plasma, a dye laser 2 is excited by a YAG laser 1, and a light variable wavelength laser light is obtained. When the frequency of YAG laser light 9 is made to beω1 are the frequency of dye laser light 10 is made to beω2 , the difference between the frequencyω1 and the frequencyω2 of the laser lightΔω=|ω1 -ω2|is made to match the vibration energy of the hydrogen compound. The laser light is applied on the hydrogen compound. The coherent anti-Stoke's Raman scattering light generated when the laser light is applied on the hydrogen compound is detected. Thus, the concentration of the hydrogen isotope is measured.
