PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery in which safety is enhanced, and energy density is high. SOLUTION: An electrode element, which is formed by layering a sheet-like positive electrode made of a collector supporting mixture containing positive electrode active material and a sheet-like negative electrode made of a collector supporting mixture containing negative electrode active material via a separator, and liquid or solid nonaqueous electrolyte are contained in a cylindrical or rectangular battery can so as to form a nonaqueous secondary battery. In the nonaqueous secondary battery, the battery can is set to be the negative electrode, and a positive electrode active material amount per area of the outermost layer of a positive electrode sheet arranged inside thereof via insulator is set to be smaller than the positive electrode active material amount per area of the innermost layer of the positive electrode sheet. |
