摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance high current charging/discharging characteristics by using a wound electrode group formed by spirally winding belt shaped positive electrode and negative electrode. SOLUTION: A battery has a wound electrode group formed by spirally winding a belt shaped positive electrode 2 and a belt-shaped negative electrode 3 through a separator 1. The area of the electrode per piece is widened, and high current charging/discharging characteristics are enhanced. Since the number of components in the actual battery structure can be decreased, productivity in the manufacturing process is enhanced and production cost can be reduced. Since at least one of metallic lithium 4, a lithium alloy, and a material capable of releasing lithium is spirally wound when the electrode group is formed, lithium equivalent to the irreversible capacity of a material capable of absorbing/ releasing lithium ions can be supplied.
