PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polarizing plate with an adhesive layer excellent in optical characteristics and excellent also in durability under conditions of high temp. and humidity. SOLUTION: An adhesive layer contg. acrylic resin having functional groups reactive with epoxy groups, a silane compd. having a functional group reactive with an epoxy group, a compd. having two or more epoxy groups and a crosslinking agent is formed on a polarizing plate obtd. by forming a protective film on at least one side of a polarizing film based on PVA having a polymn. degree of 2,000-10,000.
