PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject new coating material having excellent storage stability and smoothness of a coated film and useful for an automotive outside sheath, etc., by mixing a specific higher alcohol. SOLUTION: This new powder coating material is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermosetting powder coating material, preferably an acid-epoxy curing type acrylic resin-based coating material and (B) 0.5-10 pts.wt. of a 15-22C higher monoalcohol having 40-70 deg.C melting point. Preferably, e.g. cetyl alcohol is used as the component B and a blend obtained by blending a curing agent with a thermosetting powder base resin which itself melt-flows by heating is used as the component A, and an average particle diameter of the objective coating material is made in a range of 8-50μm.
