PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb shocks by the elastic deformation of the side plates and effectively protect the corners of a door or the like, by providing two nearly right-angled triangular panels and two side plates connecting these two panels, between respective two sides crossing at right angle and making hollow at least one of the side plates. SOLUTION: In the protection member 1 for corners, a triangular recess 4 with the inside depth as the top is formed by two nearly isosceles triangular panels 2, 2 and two side plates 3, 3 connecting these two panels, between respective two sides crossing at right angle. One side plate is made hollow. That is, the side plate 3 is provided with the front and rear plates 31, 32 and three ribs 33 parallelly arranged to connect the front and rear plates. A cut and erected piece 6 turning to the depth is provided at the nearly central part of each panel 2. In this way, when this triangular recess 4 is fitted to the corner of a door or the like, the side plates absorb shocks with elastic deformation to securely protect the corner of the door or the like. |
