PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control displacement of a stepping face of a pedal for a vehicle when external force more than the predetermined value is applied from the front side of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the intermediate part of a pedal supporting part 24, an oblong hole 76 which is long in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle substantially is formed, and a clevis pin 72 is arranged in the front end part of the oblong hole 76. In addition, a bush 78 which is separated from the oblong hole 76 by means of a working load is installed in the rest part of the oblong hole 76, and on the rear side of the bush 78, a bush stopper 82 is arranged. When an external force more than the predetermined value is applied from the front side of the vehicle, the bush 78 is released from the oblong hole 76 by means of the bush stopper 82, and the clevis pin 72 is allowed to move backward, so that a distance from a dashboard panel 16 to a joint part for a bush rod 28 can be shortened. As a result, a pedal pad 26 of a brake pedal 10 can be displaced nearly forward of the vehicle. |
