PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter capable of forming multicolored fine patterns excellent in workability and having high precision on a transparent substrate such as a glass plate. SOLUTION: Multicolored patterns are formed on the transparent substrate 4 by repeating processes including (1) a sticking process in which a photosensitive film composed of a base film 1 and a monocolored photosensitive resin layer 2 is stuck so that the colored photosensitive resin layer 2 is faced to the substrate 1, (2) an exposing process in which the photosensitive film is exposed in pattern shapes and (3) a developing process of the film. The photosensitive film is stuck by forming spaces 5 between pixels so that the colored photosensitive resin layer at and after second coloring faces the substrate 4. The surface of the transparent substrate is pretreated so that surface tension of the molten colored photosensitive resin layer (γ1 ), surface tension of the transparent substrate 4 (γ2 ) and surface tension of the base film 1 (γ3 ) satisfy relations: γ3 <γ2 and γ1 <γ2 . Thereby, the photosensitive resin layer at and after second coloring is transferred from the base film 1 to the spaces between the pixels at the same time as the process (1). |
