PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a function by providing an entrance at least in one place of the end wall or the side wall of a box body for providing a private space and a backrest equipped with a reclining mechanism in the bottom wall of the box body. SOLUTION: A box body 1 for providing a nearly rectangular parallelepiped private space includes left and right side members 2 and 3 and a flat floor panel 4, and an entrance/exit 6 is provided in end wall 5 or the like. Then, a backrest 8 equipped with a reclining mechanism is disposed in the end wall 7 side of the panel 4 opposite the entrance/exit 6, and a back is rested on a backrest part 9 while an upper body is placed toward the entrance/exit 6. The backrest part 9 is folded flat as desired, and a mat 11 is laid on the panel 4 of the entrance/exit 6 side at a height similar to that of a seat part 10 and used as a bed. Thus, the capsule is used for resting or the like by adjusting the angle of the backrest part without carrying in or out a chair or the like from the capsule, and for sleeping, a bed is easily made.
