PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to install a loading tray in a free attitude in addition to a lateral attitude irrespective of he size of the outer diameter of an optical disk by providing a pair of clamp arms oppositely to the peripheral edge of the disk. SOLUTION: The loading trayβ1 comprises a loading tray body 101, and a pair of clamp arms 103. The body 101 replaceably places an optical disk recording medium D (heretofore referred to as 'optical disk D'), and drawably and retractably horizontally drives housing front surface and interior via the front opening of an optical disk driver housing (not shown). The pair of arms 103 are pivotally secured at one end openably to the upper surface of the body 101 by a pivotal shaft 102, and recessed at the peripheral edge Da of the disk D oppositely to the enclosing groove 103b for enclosing the edge Da in the thickness direction from one end to the other end. Thus, the edge Da can be held from both sides, and even at the time of vertical attitude, the disk D is not dropped from the tray 101.
