摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain satisfactory rising of electrostatic charge and to ensure superior developing performance for imparting a specified vol. average particle diameter and specifying the distribution of particle diameter. SOLUTION: This toner has 6-8μm vol. average particle diameter and contains >=41 by number % toner particles each having <=5.04μm particle diameter and <1.5vol,.% toner particles each having >=800μm particle diameter. It is obtd. by mixing a bonding resin with a colorant and other additives used of necessary, melting and kneading the resultant mixture and carrying out pulverization and classification. The bonding resin is not especially limited and styrene resin is, e.g. used. The colorant is, e.g. carbon black. The additives include an electric charge controlling agent such as a salicylic acid derive. The toner is prouced by mixing a binding resin and additives such as colorant melting and kneading the pulverizing and classifying. The toner having a optional particle diameter is produced at first, and then adjusted to the toner having the necessary particle distribution.</p>
