<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for desulfurization with no drainage wherein necessary retention time of gas in a cooling part is remarkably decreased and generation of drainage is eliminated. SOLUTION: In this method for desulfurization wherein ammonia 30 is fed into a high temp. gas contg. sulfur oxides and the sulfur oxides are removed as a powder ammonia comd., when after the high temp. gas is brought into contact 24 with circulating cooling water and is cooled thereby, ammonia is fed 31 into the cooled gas, the circulating cooling water 35 is partly taken into the cooled gas or water is additionally added into the taken-out cooling water and it is mixed with ammonia before feeding ammonia, at the same time with feeding, after feeding or it is made into spray 31 to suppress elevation of temp. of the gas caused by heat of reaction and to evaporate completely the taken-out water. The gas fed with ammonia can be irradiated with electron beam and it is pref. that the circulating cooling water is kept so as to make pH to be 1-7, pref., 1-6 by adjusting the amt. of taken-out water, feeding of ammonia, etc.</p> |
