摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inspection method in which a liquid-crystal device can be inspected easily in a noncontact manner by a method, wherein the on-period of a scanning signal is made longer than that in a display operation and its off-period is made identical to that of the display operation. SOLUTION: The on-period (t) of a scanning signal VG is set to a period (2t) which is double that of an ordinary display operation, the off-period T of the signal is set to be identical to that of the ordinary display operation so as to perform a black display operation, a luminance at this time is measured and compared with a luminance in an ordinary state so as to be judged. In this manner, when the on-period (t) of the signal VG is set to the period (2t) which is double that in the ordinary display operation so as to perform the black display operation, a charging period is doubled. If a charging defect exists, the state of the charging defect can be detected with extremely good accuracy.</p>
