<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for converting a plastic into an oil capable of efficiently performing a thermal decomposition of a waste plastic and also facilitating a separation of the residue. SOLUTION: This apparatus for converting a plastic into an oil has an inert gas flow generating mean 35 for generating an inert gas flow from the bottom of a main body 31 of a decomposing vessel in the antigravity direction, a plastic charging mean 32 for charging the plastic as a plastic particles having at most about <=1mm<3> volume or plastic strings having at most about <=1mm diameter into the main body 31 of the decomposing vessel, a heater 36 for keeping the temperature in the main body 31 of the decomposing vessel above the temperature for performing the thermal decomposition of the plastic, a condenser 34 for recovering a gas generated from the plastic by heating by the heater 36 and comprising an oil component and a screw feeder 39 for discharging a residue formed by the thermal decomposition of the plastic heated by the heater 36 to the exterior of the main body 31 of the decomposing vessel.</p> |
