PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant insulated wire for a molding die which can be handled by a bare hand even when an insulation main unit layer is exposed by removing a coating film consisting of polymethalocarbosilane, due to rubbing or the like with a shot blast and a metal mold. SOLUTION: In this wire, a conductor core wire is coated with an insulating layer 14. The insulating layer 14 is provided with an insulation main unit layer 16 and a heat resistant coating film layer 18 formed on a surface of the insulation main unit layer 16. At least a surface side of the insulation main unit layer 16 is formed by an organic system fiber having 200 deg.C or more heat decomposition starting temperature. The heat resistant coating film layer 18 is formed by paint with polymetalocarbosilane serving as a base.
