PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a defective electronic component picked up by a transfer head to be efficiently recovered. SOLUTION: A tray 16 where an electronic component A is housed and a defective electronic component recovering tray 17 are housed in a magazine 13. The tray 16 is drawn out onto a loading/unloading means 18, an electronic component A is picked up by the nozzle 10 of a transfer head 9 and then checked by a laser unit, and when the electronic component A is found non- defective, it is mounted on a board 2. When the electronic component A is found defective by a laser unit, it is mounted on a temporary mount 5. When a mounting operation is finished for the time being, the tray 16 is returned to the magazine 13, the defective electronic component recovering tray 17 is drawn out onto the loading/unloading means 18, a defective electronic component A mounted on the temporary mount 5 is picked up by the transfer head 9 and returned to the tray 17, and then the tray 17 is returned to the magazine 13. |
