PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-attachable/detachable module structure, which is a floating structure for providing an optical semiconductor unit side with a spring function, in connection with an optical module structure so constituted as to enable optical fibers to be attachable and detachable. SOLUTION: This optical module 1 is so constituted as to enable an optical connector of an optical fiber part 2 to be attachable to and detachable from an optical module casing 3 incorporating an optical semiconductor element. In such a case, PC contact is realized by supporting a ferrule 31 for optical signal transmission of the optical semiconductor unit 21 incorporating the optical semiconductor element and a ferrule 32 for optical signal transmission of the optical connector 27 in a state of facing to each other at the inside of a split sleeve 23 disposed within the optical module casing 3, and simultaneously, the optical semiconductor unit 21 is provided with the floating structure supported at the optical module easing 3 via a spring, and the optical semiconductor unit 21 is movably supported at least one or more axes including an axis of the optical connector 27 at the inside of the optical module casing 3. |
