PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and securely make a partial copy by providing a line reading sensor on the side of paper to be copied, and a partial-copy control circuit which controls the execution/non-execution of copying according to the presence or absence of a separation line read by the line reading sensor. SOLUTION: In a partial-copy area of the paper 1 to be copied, a line is predrawn in a color whose light reflectance is not high. The line reading sensor 42, which is a specific distance further forward than an optical system 28 in the direction of carrying, is a light emitting/receiving sensor provided with both of a light emitting part and a light receiving part, receives the reflection of emitted light from the light emitting part by means of the light receiving part, and converts the amount of received light to a voltage. When the separation line is read by the line reading sensor 42, the partial-copy control circuit 52 immediately electrifies an electrifying charger 32. Then, when the front end of the separation line reaches the optical system 28, light is emitted from an exposure lamp 26, a latent image is formed, and the image is developed by a developing device 34. |
