PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode array in which the position and the direction of each light emitting diode can be correctly and easily adjusted. SOLUTION: A fitting part 32 is formed in a holder 30. Each light emitting diode 10 is inserted and fitted to the fitting part 32 from its side of recessed plane-like reflecting surface 22. The fitting part 32 is formed corresponding to the multiple light emitting diodes 10 so that the multiple light emitting diodes 10 may be arranged in a row with sections of their recessed plane-like reflecting surfaces 22 being adjacent to each other. The fitting part 32 is formed with levels and is provided with contact surface which is in contact with the lower end of a holding part 26 of the light emitting diodes 10 and opening parts 37 in which the recessed plane-like reflecting surfaces 22 are inserted. The fitting part 32 is used as the reference for positioning of the light emitting diodes 10 and the contact surface is used as the reference for facing each other.
