PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data converting method and its device efficiently converting data through the use of a single buffer memory by writing only valid data after arithmetic processing in a buffer memory. SOLUTION: This device arithmetically processes a prescribed number of consecutive data regarding as one block with an arithmetic unit 2 to reduce the number of the data to 1/2<n> (n is an integer) and outputs data after the arithmetic through the buffer memory 8. In this case, data obtained by arithmetic processing is shifted by the number of data (2<n> -1) by means of shift registers 3 to 5, and this data shifted by the number of data (2<n> -1) and arithmetic- processed data of the next block are made a pair to be successively written in the single buffer memory 8 by means of latch circuits 6 and 7. |
