PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preparation for external use for skin, capable of effectively controlling UV-A hinderance and having suppression of pigmentation and/or aging preventing effect and useful as milky lotion, cream, etc. SOLUTION: This preparation for external use for skin contains a substance exhibiting catalase action and a UV-A absorber (e.g. p-methoxycinnamic acid 2-ethylester) and/or a UV-A scattering agent (e.g. zinc oxide). A catalase derived from an animal (e.g. cow), a plant (e.g. spinach) or a microorganism (e.g. a bacterium of the genus Micrococcus) is preferably used as the substance exhibiting catalase action. The content of the substance exhibiting catalase action in the preparation for external use for skin is preferably 10<4> to 10<6> unit/100g product, expressed in terms of catalase. |
