PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a display area of messages and to receive and display a larger quantity of character information by adding a 2nd display LCD to the body of a radio set. SOLUTION: A radio unit main body microcomputer 6 receives the data on a controller display microcomputer 9 and controls the transmission frequency of a transmitting part 4 and the reception frequency of a receiving part 5 based on its won channel information. Then the microcomputer 6 displays the messages on a main body LCD 7 based on the data received at the part 5 and outputs the data to be displayed on a controller part LCD 10 to the microcomputer 9. Basically, the general messages are shown on the LCD 7 and the control information on a radio unit such as channels, etc., are shown on the LCD 10. The microcomputer 9 instructs the microcomputer 6 to control the parts 4 and 5 based on the input of a ten-key pad 11 of a controller and then displays the channel information and the transmission/reception information on the LCD 10. |
