PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fixing performance of an ink absorbing layer and the dispersibility of the pigment in a coating agent by a method wherein the ink absorbing layer formed on one side of a support is prepared by including an inorganic pigment, which has a specified BET specific surface area to the resin consisting of a binder component, and a quaternary ammonium salt polymer, the molecular weight of which has a specified value. SOLUTION: In this medium to be recorded, which is prepared by forming an ink absorbing layer to a support, the ink absorbing layer is prepared by including inorganic pigment having the BET specific surface area to the resin consisting of binder component of 150m<2> /g or more and quaternary ammonium slat polymer having the molecular weight of 1,000-10,000. The quaternary ammonium salt polymer in the ink absorbing layer is preferably set to be 10-50 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the resin consisting of the binder component. As for the medium to be recorded, one having the support itself or its other side has low temperature fusion weldability is employed. As the inorganic pigment having the BET specific surface area of 150m<2> /g or more, silica or the like is exampled but not confined thereto. |
