PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a transmission device by plurally providing speech inputting devices. SOLUTION: When a user A speaks in Japanese, the speech is supplied to a speech recognition part 8 through a microphone 1A. The speech inputted from the microphone 1A is regarded as Japanese, speech-recognized by the part 8 and translated into English by a translation part 9. Then, a synthesized speech corresponding to an English translated sentence obtained as the result is generated by a speech synthetic part 10 and supplied for a speaker 2B used by a user B to be outputted. When English is spoken by the user on the other hand, the speech is supplied for the part 8 through the microphone 1B. The speech inputted from the microphone 1B is regarded as English, speech- recognized by the part 8 and translated to Japanese by the part 9. Then a synthesized speech corresponding to a Japanese equivalent sentence obtained as the result is generated by the part 10 and supplied for the speaker 2A user by the user A to be outputted. |
