PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod made of a steel plate to improve the strength of a barring part without reducing precision and increasing the thickness of a plate. SOLUTION: Two press-molded connection rod constituting plates 2 each having two ends having bearing holes 4 and 5 formed in barring parts 8 and 9 are arranged back to back. Bearings 10 are respectively pressed in through the bearing holes 4 and 5 of the two connecting rod constituting plates 2 and 2. In the connecting rod 1 made of a steel plate having the fundamental constitution described above, the height (a) of a part 11 in an arcuate shape in cross section formed at the inside diameter surfaces of the barring parts 8 and 9 is decreased to a value lower than a plate thickness (t). The material of the connection rod constituting plate 2 is a steel plate on which heat-treatment is applied. |
