PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply the voltage of a waveform approximate to the ideal one to the electrode of an electric dust collector by collecting once the electric charge accumulated in the collector electrode to a collecting capacitor without flowing backward the electric charge to a power supply. SOLUTION: A switch SW is turned toward a fixed contact T1 at time t1 by a timing control means C, and an LC resonance circuit I1 is formed and the forward current of a diode D1 flows. That is, the electric charge accumulated in a storage capacitor CS flows to an electrode EP of a dust collector. As a result, the absolute value of voltage VS reduces and the absolute value of voltage VEP increases. As the capacity of the capacitor CS is approximately equal to the electrostatic capacity CEP of the electrode EP, the increment of absolute value of voltage VEP is approximately equal to the decrement of absolute value of voltage VS. Then the current of the circuit I1 does not flow any more after time t2 , and the current flows to an LC resonance circuit I2 only. Furthermore, the reverse bias is generated at a diode D2 at time t3 and therefore no current flows thereafter.
