Each cylinder (14) has two inlet valves (17) in separate inlet ducts (38,39) and at least one exhaust valve (19) in an exhaust duct (37). The inlet and exhaust ducts open at opposite sides (24,25) of the cylinder head (11). Concentric to the cylinder is fitted a fuel injection valve (21).The inlet and exhaust valves are so angularly offset that they form a line (22), in horizontal cross-section, through the inlet valves at an angle (a) to at least one cylinder head inlet (24), or exhaust side (25). The angle is pref. 70 deg.. |
