FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: additional spirals with connecting rods are introduced into conveyor belt consisting of flat left-hand and right-hand helix spirals hinge-connected by rods. Number of additional spirals and rods depends on height of spiral permitting arrangement of additional rods and spiral coils hinge-connected by the rods. Method of manufacture of conveyor wire belt comes to the following: first of all spiral are placed in parallel so that leading coils of each following spiral get into zone of tail coils of two or more preceding spirals and then tail and leading coils of corresponding main and additional spirals are hinge-connected by rods thus forming conveyor belt of required length. Edges of belt are formed, for instance by bending the ends of spirals on rods and connecting the ends of adjacent rods to each other. Conveyor belt thus formed is mounted on conveyor by butt-joining the ends and aligning leading coils of spirals at beginning of belt with tail coils of spirals at end of belt and connecting the ends by rods.
