This invention concerns a cigarette package (2) which has a side pocket (1). This side pocket (1) is constructed, preferably, out of rigid paper or thin board. It is comprised of a front wall (3), a back wall, two side walls (5) and a bottom (6). It is open at its upper face (7). A lighter (15) can be inserted into the side pocket (1) through this upper face (7). To simplify production of the side pocket (1), its back wall is preferably divided into two longitudinal halves. The outsides of these longitudinal halves are attached, preferably glued, to a narrow side wall (14) of the cigarette package (2). Both side walls (5) and the bottom (6) of the side pocket (1) each has a fold (8) which can be bent. This allows the side pocket (1) to be folded together. |
