A clamping device for clamping motorcycle wheels onto the shaft of a balancing machine, with a mechanism to center the wheels on the shaft of a balancing machine and with two diametrically opposed carriers that are radially displaceable against the wheel so that they become frictionally engaged with the wheel, as well as a mechanism for radially pressing the carriers against the whe el. The carriers include swivel arms that pivot around a drag bearing and are arranged in diametric opposition to one another and at the same radial distance from one another. Carrier elements protrude from the other ends of the swivel arms, near the wheel being clamped onto the balancing machine. This clamping device is simple, while its application is both straightforward and reliable.
