The opto-electronic instrument has a luminous polychromatic light source with continuous spectrum is focused (11) on to a slit (12) which directs light to a concave diffraction system (13). A continuum of monochromatic images from the slit (12) create a chromatic coding of the measuring space (15) according to a cross section (x,z). The object being measured is located in the measuring space (15) on an electronically controlled table (16,17) such that a series of cross sections (x,y) along an axis (y) are measured using a deep field telecentric afocal optical unit (18), a spectrographic imager (20) with entry slit (19) and a bi-dimensional matrix photoelectric detector (21) supported by electronic acquisition and processing (22). |
