The present invention relate to a plug cock for beer containers, especially kegs, consisting of a cock housing (1) with an outlet (35), a pivoting lever (4) operating a valve (3), a pushrod (5) opening the plug closure of the container fitted in a plug union (7) of the cock housing and a channel (6) inside the cock housing in which the valve is fitted connecting the cock plug union to the outlet. On the under side of the lever pivoting in the cock housing there is a bolt (30) connected thereto and between the bolt and the inner end of the pushrod there is a curved catch fitted inside the housing and linked to its edge. The bolt and the catch are constructed in such a way that, when the lever is turned, the front, out-of-centre end of the bolt rolls down the inner concave curve of the catch and pushes it against the pushrod to open the beer channel. |
