<p>According to known technique, rotating cutting tools such as milling cutter bodies have been manufactured by first shaping them by cutting machining and then hardening them, entirely or partly. When hardening, small dislocations arise in the material, which for instance gives an axial throw between the insert seats in a milling cutter body. By hardening after the shaping of the tool, such as according to the invention, the tolerances have been reduced quite considerably.</p> |
