Gear transmission with minimal overall reversing play

The gear transmission consists of an orbiting endface wheel (4) within a driven hollow wheel (6), and a three-parallel-crank transmission for the endface wheel's orbital motion. The position of the driving (1) and driven shafts and the driving eccentric (2) falls co-axially within the crank transmission system, with two further blind cranks (3). The blind cranks, which are required to fulfil the guide function for the endface wheel's orbital motion, may not take part in the transmission of torque. They can be offset from the centre within a connecting plate (5) fixed to the endface wheel towards the working plane of the endface and hollow wheels.
