<p>The mechanical device for separating dust particles from exhaust gases solves the problem of dust particles separation under conditions of high temperatures and high moisture. The device enables the recycling of the separated dust. The device operates on the principle of conducting the medium through the centrifugal field which causes the radial exhausting of the dust particles. The carrying medium along with the dust particles axially enters the rotating cylinder (2) through the feed tube (1). The cylinder is divided into many sectors with shovels (3). The forced rotation of the medium in the cylinder causes the setting of the dust particles onto the cylinder wall (4). The ratio between the rotor length, its cross section and the medium flow defines the particle stay duration in the centrifugal field. The effectiveness of the filtration is conditioned by the time of stay. The cleaned medium is conducted from the mid cylinder part into the outlet tube (5). The separated particles are conducted along the cylinder wall into the outlet tube (6) for exhausting and recycling the unwanted dust. The rotor for the dust particle separation can be constructed as a cylinder (fig. 1) or a cone (fig. 2).</p> |
