Automatic dispensing of liquids

The automatic machine for the dispensing of drinks is based around the use of a peristaltic pump 7 in which liquid is displaced through flexible tubing 20 by the tubing being progressively squeezed. The squeezing action is produced by a rotor element that is rotated by an electric motor. The rotor has a pair of rollers 16,17 at each end and these press against the tubing. A number of tubes may be positioned in parallel to allow multiple deliveries to be made.
