The trough is for a bidet suspended by lugs in a water-closet bowl. Inside it is a freely-movable discharge spoon (4), with a discharge head (4d) and a handle (4a) at opposite ends. The head is held in a mounting (4c), and is supplied via a hose (3) from and air compressor (2), which can be free-standing and separate from it, or mounted on the front edge of the trough. The spoon can be cranked and with a guide (1d) at its front end, typically comprising a slide from which the spoon is detachable. Alternatively it can consist of a ball-joint allowing tilting sideways.
