Artificial isotope detection using organic scintillator

摘要

A method for detecting the existence of gamma radiation from artificial isotopes where the novelty is that radiation is detected with an organic scintillator (1), and the measured impulse-amplitude distribution data is compared with at least one reference impulse-amplitude distribution derived from natural background gamma radiation. Also claimed is a detector which uses the above method and which has a measuring system (8) and a data processor (10) connected to the organic scintillator (1).
