Circuit with temporary store for driving pumps and fans from solar- and/or wind-power-generator

A circuit for a DC motor operated from a naturally occurring variable energy source like the sun or wind has the generated current accumulated in a temporary store (2) like a high capacity condenser and the motor (5) is switched on by a semiconductor 94) when the voltage at the store exceeds a certain level. When the voltage drops below this level, the motor is switched off. Instead of the motor, an inverter may be used to drive AC loads or alternatively, a pulse-operated electromagnet could be employed as a pump. Weaker current pulses could be used as starting pulses for a motor. Even weaker pulses can be counted and used for metering purposes e.g. for solar radiation strength or wind strength.
