Fluid medium sterilisation device with UV source on rotating shaft

In an assembly to sterilise liquids or gases by ultra-violet radiation,the novelty is that: (a) that the liquid or gas medium (A) passes through a processing tube (1) with a UV-protective coating (18) incorporating a UV-source (2) which is set in motion (B) and generating turbulence; (b) the motion (B) is generated by the flow of the medium (A); (c) the medium (A) flows directly towards and impinges on fan blades (17) during the sterilisation process, setting them in motion (B); (d) the flow of the medium (A) through the tube (1) is driven by an external pump; (e) the tube (1) has a UV-source (2) maintenance hatch (8); (f) the assembly has a sensor (4) which slows the motion (B) if the intensity of UV emissions falls below a given value.
