The arrangement secures a rail to a support surface (3). A first section (1) with a bottom surface (2) contacts the support surface. A second section protrudes over the first section and has a lateral surface (4) which contacts the lateral surface of the rail. A fixing arrangement has a third part (5) which is one unit with a threaded bar (6) cooperating with a nut (7) vertical surface (11) which is at an angle from 10 to 20 degrees, eg. 15 degrees in relation to the bottom surface and is at angle of 45 degrees, in relation to the lateral surface.
