Automatic calibration arrangement for gas detector

In an arrangement for automatically calibrating a gas detector by subjecting the sensor (1) to a calibration gas, the sensor is located in a measuring chamber (2) with a gas feed pipe (5) and a vent opening (2.1) to enable the calibration gas to escape. Near the sensor is placed a calibration gas container (6) provided with a thermally sensitive valve (7) which is actuated by a controller (3). The calibration gas container consists of a vessel provided with a micro-hole and connected to an intermediate container having a re-usable fusible tin closure.
