<p>Disclosed are topical skin care compositions which comprise from about 0.1 % to about 20 % by weight of an amine oxide surfactant, from about 0.1 % to about 20 % by weight of an anionic surfactant, from about 0.001 % to about 20 % by weight of a skin active agent, from about 40 % to about 99 % by weight of water, and dispersed surfactant complex formed prior to or during formulation of the composition, which complex comprises from about 25 % to about 100 % of the cationic surfactant of the composition and from about 25 % to about 100 % of the anionic surfactant of the composition. The skin care compositions are useful for clarifying the skin and reducing pore size, while providing improved deposition or efficacy of skin active agents onto the surface of the skin, milder cleansing of the skin, and improved skin feel benefits.</p> |
