Shaft seal

The shaft seal has a shaft ring (2) holding a sealing disc (8) placed upon the shaft. A housing ring (5) is inserted in the shaft housing and rests against the free end of the sealing disc. The housing ring is bell-shaped. The free end of the sealing disc rests against the cylindrical inner face (10) of the housing ring to form a seal. The sealing disc is made in PTFE and disc is held in contact with the ring body (3) by e.g. an adhesive. The free end (11) of the shaft ring body is bow-shaped. The shaft ring has an elastomer coating (13) and a circular lip seal (14) directed against the housing ring disc-shaped ring body (7).
