Ignition spark timing control system for motor vehicle IC engine

The system comprises a basic ignition timing device which sets the ignition spark timing of the engine (1). A drive condition detector containing a sensor for detecting the engine speed. A device sets a desired value if the engine is idle. A correction device corrects the basic ignition spark time depending on the difference between the desired value and the detected rotational speed. A control device controls the engine with the corrected timing as soon as the motor speed reaches or exceeds a predetermined value.
