USER INTERFACE FOR NAVIGATING AMONG, ORGANIZING AND EXECUTING PROGRAM, FILES AND DATA IN A COMPUTER SYSTEM

A graphical user interface (103) which displays a first menu image on a display for an operating system of a computer. The first menu images includes a taskbar image (101) which carries button images (102) selectable by a user to carry out a function. The interface (103) displays a second menu image (112, 113) on the display for a navigator software (112, 113, 111, 128). The navigator software (111, 112, 113, 128) provides a quasi-operating system environment.
