The method involves measuring at least part of the crop (7) using a measurement device mounted downstream of a transport device (21) in a transport channel (14). The position of the transport device wrt. the transport channel can be varied. An adjustable guide (13) is arranged between one end region of the transport device and the transport channel. The guide can be fixed in its adjusted position.
